Shanghai Ghetto!

A really fun anniversary illu I got to work on recently. Started out as a comic book cover and then evolved into an event poster. Really cute, fun, and that's all <3
(Thought it worked well without the type as well, so here are both version)

Fear of Death

Challenge 7: Fear of Death

'I am utterly terrified of dying, and I usually have a panic attack if I sit around and think about it for too long. So the fact that I was actually able to complete an Illu for this challenge was huge for me.

Overall the image is A LOT darker then my normal body of work but I’m really pleased with the end result.'

Year of the Rabbit

Square Carousel Challenge 5: Spirit Animal

“The Rabbit is a spirit animal that is extremely open to one on one communication and when approached as an equal it will show great wisdom and guidance.”

Dunno how, but this piece went 80′s real fast =:3

I took a break from some of my projects, so naturally what do I do? whip up some trashy fanart XD

Haven't done some HP in a long long time so I decided to put together some ScorpiusXRose Also wanted to make it a winter-ish theme since it's starting to get chilly where I live.

Back to work!!

They Draw and Travel- Atlanta

For the Square Carousel's fourth topic we had to create something for TDAT. I chose to draw a map of Atlanta since it’s my new home. However, I haven’t really been out and about quite yet so I went with some basic destinations ( there are a lot more but I didn’t want to go insane). I did struggle with this piece but I do hope it’s something everyone can enjoy.

Lame and uninspired first attempt.

Square Carousel Collective

If you didnt already know I'm part of a group called The Square Carousel Collective. It consists of 10 talented illustrators that post bi-weekly challenges, with each artist taking a turn selecting a theme. Here are the first three themes and my solutions to each of them.

And check us out here

Challenge 1: Carousel animal
When I heard the topic of Carousel Animal my mind instantly gravitated towards rabbits (having the nickname ‘bunny’ in highschool only helped). With this piece i used a newer method i’ve been experimenting with, using pen, pencil and digital. Enjoy~

Challenge 2: Home away from home
There aren’t any locations that I consider my home-away-from-home, I rather associate that idea or feeling with my husband. That sense of comfort and safety, a place to relax and feel ‘at home’ can be acheived anywhere when I’m with him and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Sadly I just got back from my honeymoon so I didn’t have the appropriate amount of time for the initial image for this concept, but I hope you can enjoy something quick and cute <3

Challenge 3: Honey
Originally I wanted to do something with honey milk tea (Lolicup brand ftw) but I wasn’t sure how it would work. So I tried to jazz it up and have her drink outta a flower and then it just turned into this XD I guess picking such a broad topic really bit me in the butt this time around!

More wedding illu's

So this is the image I came up with for both the signature frame and the lil postcards (to go along with the guests favors). If all goes as planned i'm hoping to take this and few other pieces to the venues open house to see if any brides would be interested in doing something similar for their special day. Wish me luck!

Back with a vengence!!

Sorry about the mini hiatus but I kinda had some stuff going on (wedding, honeymoon, graduation, know, nothing major XD ) But I have quite a few things to upload over the next few days from my 'time off' so please be patient with me :D

To kick things off I have the portraits I whipped up for my bridesmaids. Tried to keep them as simple as possible for my own sanity.

Well, the time has finally come, I'm graduating.
I'll need to get my name out there to any and all art directors in the freelance market, and that's where this bad boy comes into play. Sometime next month i'll send these mailers out and hopefully get some nibbles of interest, Wish me luck.

Below is the thumbnail and finished line work for the mailer
